ABOUT THE ESTABLISHMENT
Since arriving in Siem Reap three weeks ago, I have been hearing about this infamous Italian restaurant called "Ciao." Today, I finally got to try "the best pasta in all of Cambodia.. and maybe even Southeast Asia," as some call it. Hand made by chef Diego on his rooftop patio, the pasta at Ciao is some of the most delicious pasta I've ever had. An Italian from just outside of Roma, Diego told me that he's been making pasta since he was a kid. Now in Kampot, he uses delicious local flavors and clean ingredients to make fresh pasta from scratch. Ciao is one of my favorite restaurant finds in Southeast Asia and talked about by the backpacker community out here. Would go back in a heartbeat... and I might go back tomorrow!
Update: I went back to Ciao today and tried Diego's ragu ravioli and *insert Italian delicious hand sign here* it was sooo delicious! If you're ever in Kampot, come have some fresh hand made pasta from one of the best spots in Cambodia!
