The Garden Riverside is an adorable restaurant and cafe located on the southern Don Det riverside next to the historic Don Det - Don Khone bridge. It has an outdoor seating area with scenic views of the Mekong and tropical Don Khone across the way. The Garden Riverside offers a moderately priced menu serving traditional Lao and Western food. Its aesthetics, location, and cold drinks are perfect for a lazy day on the southern shore of Don Det. Like many restaurants on the island, The Garden Riverside is family run and it may take some extended time to receive your food. Remember - you're on island time. I only had western food when eating here, but the group next to me, which ordered Lao food, was very contented with their meal.
